Dozens of people willing to find out how a central bank’s activities visited on Monday, 4 June 2018, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM). People had the opportunity to listen to presentations on various financial topics and to a brief history of the national currency.
In the exhibition hall, the visitors - adults and children of different ages discovered the collection of coins that are used as means of payment in the daily life, as well the commemorative gold and silver coins issued by the National Bank and by other central banks. At the same time, the guests learned about the currency safety signs, cashless payments and currency rates. The novelty of the event was the presentation on the topic: “What to pay attention to while contracting a credit”.
The National Bank will continue to make presentations to the general public on various financial and banking subjects, within the educational projects conducted during the year, such as “A Holiday Day at the NBM”, “Global Money Day”, “International Savings Day”, etc.
Every year, on the day of 4 June, the National Bank of Moldova opens its doors to the general public, thus celebrating its anniversary since its establishment in 1991, as well the Banking Employee’s Day.
