
Aureliu Cincilei was appointed as Deputy Governor of the Republic of Moldova, member of the Council of Administration (now Executive Board) of the National Bank of Moldova by the Parliament’s Decision no. 186 of 12 July 2013.
Mr. Cincilei is born in 1966, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. He graduated from the State University of Moldova, Faculty of Physics (1990), National School of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania, Faculty of Management (1995).
At the date of his appointment, Mr. Cincilei had more than 22 years of experience in the financial-economic sector. Before becoming the Deputy Governor of the NBM, he was the President of BC "Eurocreditbank" S.A. (2004-2013).
Mr. Cincilei started his professional activity in 1990 as an engineer and coordinating engineer in the Cryogenic Physics Laboratory, Applied Physics Institute of Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
In 1995 -1996, Mr. Cincilei held the positions of Deputy Head of Division, Deputy Director, Interim Head of Division, Deputy Director of a branch of Banca de Economii S.A.
In 1996 – 2004 he served as Head of Division, coordinating auditor– Deputy Head of Internal Audit Department, Head of Direction, Director of Business Centre, BC Moldova-Agroindbank S.A.
During his activity, Mr. Cincilei was member of Auditors Commission,”Piele” S.A. (1999-2001), ”Glass container company” S.A. (1995-2004).
Aureliu Cincilei is the author of a large number of articles, publications and participated in various economic conferences.
During his career, Mr. Cincilei has acquired extensive experience and expertise in the banking-economic field.
