The gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova totaled EUR 10 110,6 million as of 12/31/2025, which is 56,0% as a ratio to GDP (-2,7 p.p. as compared to 12/31/2024). 

The public external debt accounted for 42,6% of the total external debt and totalled EUR 4 310,9 million (+4,4% as compared to the end of the previous year). The private external debt amounted to EUR 5 799,7 million and increased by 0,9% as compared to 12/31/2024.
