The two officials discussed the macroeconomic situation of the Republic of Moldova and the measures applied by the NBM to deal with inflationary pressures.
Another topic addressed was the situation in the banking sector. Octavian Armașu mentioned that it is well consolidated and that there are sufficient reserves to cope with the current crisis.
The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova thanked Germany for the valuable and continuous support given to our country, in particular for the development of the financial sector: “I express my confidence that the collaborative relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Republic of Germany will continue to strengthen”.
Her Excellency, Margret Maria Uebber showed Germany's openness to continue supporting the reforms of the Republic of Moldova, including the NBM, especially strengthening the banking sector that will bring our country closer to the European Union.
This was Ambassador Margret Maria Uebber’s first courtesy visit to the NBM after her recent appointment.
