The National Committee on Financial Stability, in extended composition, held its ordinary meeting on 29 March 2023. The meeting was conducted according to the calendar of ordinary meetings of the National Committee on Financial Stability for 2023, approved in the meeting of 20 December 2022.
The meeting discussed risks in the banking, non-bank lending, and the insurance sectors as well as the actions taken or initiated by the supervisory authorities to mitigate these risks. A special topic was focussed on the capital market developments.
After examining the information presented at the meeting, the Committee members unanimously decided to issue a recommendation to the Government of the Republic of Moldova regarding the development of a back-to-back transaction mechanism in the insurance sector, similar to the one applied in the banking sector.
The next ordinary meeting of the National Committee on Financial Stability is scheduled to take place in June 2023.
