Strating from 1 March 2024, the National Bank of Moldova puts the coin “Martisor – symbol of spring” [1] into circulation for numismatic purposes, thereby completing the series “Holidays, Culture, Traditions of Moldova”.
On this occasion, Anca Dragu, the Governor of the NBM, expressed that the issuance of this coin aims to emphasize the significance of Martisor.
“I encourage you to embrace the significance of this unique symbol, a shared heritage that holds immense value. Today, the NBM presents a distinctive Martisor to you.
