The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armașu, have held discussions with Lorenzo Tomassoni, the Italian Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, the NBM Governor referred to the measures taken by the NBM intended to ensure the stability of the banking sector and its resilience to the current crises, as well as to the macroeconomic developments in the country. Octavian Armașu noted the presence of strategic European investors, including the Italian ones, who increased the safety of our licensed banks in the context of crises with global impact.
In turn, Lorenzo Tomassoni mentioned that Italy is willing to further support the development of the Republic of Moldova. His Excellency emphasized that the objective of his country is to support the Republic of Moldova on the path of accession to the EU, as well as collaboration within the Association Agreement, according to the needs of Chisinau.
