According to preliminary data, in Quarter II, 2026, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of EUR -886,4 million and decreased by 2,1% compared to the similar period of the previous year. The current account to GDP ratio amounted to -20,2%. The capital account recorded a positive balance amounting to EUR 19,4 million, and the financial account recorded a net inflow of EUR 896,2 million.
