The turnover of the cash foreign exchange market includes all transactions involving the purchase and sale of foreign currency against the national currency, carried out in cash by foreign exchange entities with individuals and reported in accordance with the Regulation on the activity of foreign exchange entities (approved by the Decision of the Executive Board of the National Bank of Moldova No. 335 of December 1, 2016). The euro equivalent of the volume of foreign currency cash purchase and sale transactions is calculated using the monthly average official exchange rates of the Moldovan leu against the euro and the respective foreign currency. Data on the cash foreign exchange market are published monthly, by the last day of the month following the reporting period.
