National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.

Cei 15 participanți la prima ediție a programului „Școala finanțelor moderne” vor merge în localități rurale din Republica Moldova, unde vor susține prezentări pe teme financiar-bancare pentru adolescenți, pensionari, agricultori, precum și alte categorii de persoane.
Astfel, aceștia vor împărtăși din experiența și cunoștințele acumulate în România, unde s-a desfășurat programul lansat de Banca Națională a Moldovei (BNM) împreună cu Banca Națională a României (BNR) și Academia de Studii Economice din București (ASE).
La o întrevedere recentă cu guvernatorul BNM, Octavian Armașu, participanții au subliniat că au avut parte de o experiență unică în cadrul „Școlii finanțelor moderne”. Tinerii au avut posibilitatea să îmbine experiențe de studiu în capitala României cu activități cultural-istorice în orașe reprezentative precum Iași, Brașov, Suceava și Sinaia. În București, participanții au avut întrevederi cu personalități din domeniul bancar și cel academic.
Programul se adresează studenților și masteranzilor de la Academia de Studii Economice din Moldova (ASEM). După ce vor susține prezentările de educație financiară, ei vor primi certificate de participare la „Școala finanțelor moderne” semnate de guvernatorii BNM și BNR, precum și de rectorii ASE București și ASEM.
„Școala finanțelor moderne” a fost lansată în luna iulie curent, urmând să se desfășoare cu o periodicitate de două ori pe an. Cea de-a doua ediție începe mâine și se va încheia pe 17 septembrie 2023.
