About credit and insurance in a new podcast in the series "Give sense to money"

The fourth edition of the podcast "Give sense to money" launched today, 20 July 2023, comes with news about the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) taking over the regulation of the two new sectors previously supervised by the National Commission for Financial Markets (NCFM), non-bank lending and the insurance market, as of 1 July 2023, as well as useful information about loans and insurance under safe conditions.

The guest of journalist Liliana Barbarosie is Constantin Șchendra, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova in charge of supervision.

The interview focuses on topics related to the challenges of regulating the insurance and non-bank lending market, the immediate action plan of the new supervisor, as well as the prospects for corporate governance of companies and diversification of services for the citizens.

The podcast also includes the "Money in a nutshell" rubric, which provides answers to questions such as: What is the role of non-bank lending organisations (NBOs)? What is the annual percentage rate (APR) and how is it calculated? At what interest rates can you borrow? etc.
