National Bank opens its doors to the general public on the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, 27 August

 

At the end of the weekend, on 27 August 2023, on the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, the general public is invited to cross the threshold of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) to admire the collection of commemorative coins and to learn about the security features of the Moldovan leu, as well as how to become part of the central bank team.

The event supports the civic feeling of the public, related to the Moldovan leu and other historical values of our country. Thus, visitors will take a journey into the history of the national currency, which this year celebrates 30 years since its putting into circulation. During the visit you will find out about the security features of the Moldovan leu and how to check the authenticity of banknotes, and at the end of the visit the children will receive a "Financial Education Guide".

The Doors Open Day is part of the National Bank's open and friendly communication to the public about its activity carried out with dedication for the benefit of citizens.

Thus, children, young people and adults of any occupation, interested in the activities of the National Bank of Moldova, are expected at the National Bank from 9.00 to 16.00. Access to the National Bank will be allowed with ID card (for adults) and the tours will take place at fixed hours.
