National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.
National Bank shall have the exclusive right to issue on the territory of the Republic of Moldova banknotes and coins as legal tender, as well as commemorative and jubilee banknotes and coins as legal tender and for numismatic purposes.

Are you a student or pupil in high school and want to be involved in promoting financial education? If yes, the financial education project „Learn! Give sense to money” offers you this opportunity.
The National Bank of Moldova in partnership with Independent Think-Tank „Expert-Grup” organize the first workshop within the financial education project „Learn! Give sense to money”, which aims to prepare young people for the promotion of financial education. Eligible persons are students and pupils of the high school classes interested in promoting financial education, with analytical skills and public speaking. After completing the training, the participants will gain the necessary knowledge to deliver a financial education lesson to their fellow citizens in their localities.
The candidates shall complete the form by Monday, 2 March 2 2020, 6:00 pm. The applications will be evaluated based on academic results and volunteer activities. The evaluation process will take into account the ability of the widest possible territorial coverage and the respect for gender equality.
The training will take place on 6 March 2020 between 9.30 am and 4.00 pm. The expenses of transport and lunch will be provided by the „Expert-Grup". The training language - Romanian.

The selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in an additional training organized during the "Global Money Week", 23-29 March 2020.
„Learn! Give sense to money” is a financial education project launched in March 2019 by the National Bank of Moldova and Expert-Grup. The project was initiated with the aim to increase awareness about the main financial and banking concepts and products among youth, so that, when faced with situations, they make the right decision in managing their own income.
