In 2020, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of US$ 892,51 million, the capital account registered a negative balance amounting to US$ 65,67 million, and the financial account recorded a net capital inflow of US$ 1 042,13 million. The international investment position amounted to US$ -5 428,24 million as of 12/31/2020, while the gross external debt totaled US$ 8 437,71 million.

În anul 2020, soldul contului curent al balanţei de plăţi a Republicii Moldova a înregistrat un deficit de 892,51 mil. USD, contul de capital a înregistrat un sold negativ de 65,67 mil. USD, iar contul financiar s-a soldat cu intrări nete de capital în valoare de 1 042,13 mil. USD. Poziţia investiţională internaţională a constituit -5 428,24 mil. USD, iar datoria externă brută a totalizat 8 437,71 mil. USD.

La 30 noiembrie 2021, activele oficiale de rezervă au constituit 3 781,42 mil. dolari SUA, în descreștere cu 266,88  mil. dolari SUA în comparație cu 29 octombrie 2021, când acestea au însumat 4 048,30 mil. dolari SUA.
