Watch LIVE, starting at 10:30 a.m., the international Conference "Moldova's accession to the Single Euro Payments Area - achievements and perspectives"

 

 

The conference is organized within the Twinning project “Strengthening supervision, corporate governance and risk management in the financial sector” financed by the European Union and aims to bring up the main benefits of the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the Single European Payment Area (SEPA), the compliance strategy to the criteria of the European Payments Council, as well as a review of the efforts and progress made in this regard by the Republic of Moldova. Accession to SEPA is of paramount importance for the economy of our country as it is closely interconnected with that of the European space.

The event will be attended by high-ranking officials  of the NBM partners within the Twinning project, having as a special guest – the Director General of the European Payment Council, Etienne Goose, as well as representatives of the community of payment services providers (banking and non-banking) from the Republic of Moldova.

The plenary session will be followed by two debates on the topics: “The benefits and challenges of joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)” and “Efforts and progress made by the Moldovan authorities to comply with the SEPA criteria. Necessary steps to follow in view to draft the SEPA accession file."
