National Bank opens its doors to citizens of all ages

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) opens its doors to the public on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of its foundation in a new format, offering those who want to know what a central bank is all about the opportunity to visit it on the holidays - 8 and 9 June, for a freer and wider access.

Citizens of all ages will be able to see the NBM exhibition with documentary testimonies from the monetary history and "walk through" the stages of the development of the national currency until today, admire the collection of commemorative and jubilee coins issued by the National Bank of Moldova, as well as samples of other central banks.

Visitors will also be invited to several workshops, designed in an interactive way on useful topics in the field of finance and banking. Thus, anyone who is interested will be able to examine individually on specialised equipment the safety features of the national currency in a comprehensive presentation delivered by NBM experts.

Additionally, a theme that will be brought to the public's attention will be "security of cashless payments" - an aspect of our everyday life that every consumer should be aware of.

The National Bank has also prepared a special workshop for students and young people in training where career opportunities at the NBM will be presented.

The activities will take place between 11:00 and 17:00 at each fixed hour.

The Open Doors Day is an event that the central bank traditionally holds on the anniversary of its foundation, affirming its transparency and desire to be close to the public.
