Governor Anca Dragu participates in the annual meeting of Central and Eastern Europe Euromoney Forum 2025

 

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, is attending the annual Euromoney Forum, the most important annual financial gathering for Central and Eastern Europe, which starts today in Vienna.

Held on 14-15 January in Vienna and set against the backdrop of a year marked by inflation, developments in the energy sector, and the war in Ukraine, the Euromoney Forum will discuss the monetary policy outlook for 2025, the main objectives of central banks in the region, practical aspectsrelated to Ukraine’s reconstruction and the challenges facing the energy transition.

On the second day of the forum, during the panel titled "Central banks after the storm," Anca Dragu will give a presentation on the achievements of the National Bank of Moldova inmaintaining a stable inflation rate, as well as the measures taken in the areas of supervision and ensuring the stability of the financial sector.

During the event, the Governor of the NBM will participate in a series of bilateral meetings and a dialogue forum dedicated to the role of women in the financial and banking system. Additionally, Anca Dragu will give interviews to the international press, including Bloomberg and Reuters.

The Euromoney Forum is the most prestigious conference for investment professionals and capital markets in the Central and Eastern Europe region. Now in its 30th edition, Euromoney offers business leaders and decision-makers the opportunity to exchange ideas, develop new contacts, and engage in informed and unbiased discussions.

Ms. Anca Dragu is attending the meeting alongside her counterparts from Armenia, Croatia, Poland, Albania, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Georgia, Slovenia, and Hungary, as well as investors and high-level representatives of international financial institutions.
