Launch of the new version of the RCA.BNM.MD portal and the new format for the domestic RCA insurance policy

The National Bank of Moldova announces the launch of the new version of the RCA.BNM.MD portal and the implementation of a new format for the domestic RCA insurance policy, as part of the ongoing modernization of financial services.

RCA.BNM.MD portal

The new version of the RCA.BNM.MD portal (https://rca.bnm.md) serves as a central access point for data related to compulsory motor third-party liability insurance provided by insurance market participants in the Republic of Moldova. This portal facilitates access to data generated and hosted by the State Automated Information System in the field of compulsory RCA insurance. It offers financial services consumers essential digital tools for calculating insurance premiums, checking the internal and external insurance status of vehicles, and obtaining information on Bonus-Malus classes and recorded damage history.

Unique functionality - access to vehicle’s recorded damage history

One of the most significant and innovative features of the new RCA.BNM.MD portal is the access to recorded damage history based on the vehicle’s unique identification code (VIN code). This feature significantly enhances transparency, giving users a clear and detailed view of a vehicle’s damage history.

By simply entering the VIN code, users can quickly retrieve data from vehicle damage records managed by insurance companies in the Republic of Moldova or the National Bureau of Motor Insurers of the Republic of Moldova, as applicable. This functionality is crucial for providing the public with confidence and security in vehicle sale and purchase transactions. The ability to check damage history helps prevent issues related to hidden defects.

New format of the domestic RCA insurance policy

The standardized form “Compulsory Insurance Policy for RCA (Domestic)” has been updated and is now in A5 format. The new format includes a QR code that, when scanned, allows users to check the validity of the insurance policy and access detailed information on the vehicle’s damage history.

The National Bank of Moldova makes continuous efforts to modernize financial services and enhance user experience by implementing advanced technologies and innovative digital solutions.
