The NBM Governor had a meeting with the Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in the Republic of Moldova

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armașu, had a meeting with the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Moldova, Ullrich Kinne.

The two officials discussed the strengthening of collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and Germany in the financial and banking sector and its development prospects.

Octavian Armașu presented the macroeconomic developments on which the latest monetary decisions of the National Bank of Moldova were based. Discussions also touched the stability of the banking sector, as well as its resilience to the current crises.

"This performance is possible thanks to the reforms implemented so far by the NBM in the banking sector, which included, among other things, the strengthening of the corporate governance of Moldovan banks," declared the NBM Governor.

Ullrich Kinne appreciated the measures taken by the NBM to maintain the monetary and financial stability of the country and expressed his support for the further assurance of the NBM independence, which is necessary for the effective performance of its duties.
