The Coordinated Direct Investment Survey (CDIS) is a worldwide statistical data collection project launched by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2009.

During the period 04-08 December 2023, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) held/hosted “Career Week at the NBM” for the first time. These events were organised for the first time in educational institutions across the country.

At the opening of the conference, the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armașu, noted that the development of the payment system is an essential component of the modernization and efficiency of the financial sector.

The conference will take place on Wednesday, 6 December 2023, starting at 1:30 p.m., at Digital Park, 2nd floor, 15 Mihai Viteazul Street, Chisinau and will be broadcast live on the media platforms of the National Bank of Moldova.

The National Bank of Moldova is launching a design competition for the Moldovan leu symbol in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency.

Over 250 people came to the excursions organised by the National Bank of Moldova to the National Museum of History, in partnership with this institution, between 25-30 November 2023.

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) is organizing, for the first time, a Career Week at the NBM, from 4 to 8 December 2023 – a major event aimed to discuss careers and opportunities in central banking.

In the opening message, Octavian Armașu mentioned that monetary independence and the national currency are essential elements of our identity.

The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials from the Republic of Moldova and abroad, ambassadors, representatives of international financial institutions, individuals from financial, banking and academic circles, as well as members of civil society, scientists, creative individuals, and various other personalities.

Starting with 29 November 2023, the National Bank of Moldova puts into circulation five commemorative coins as a means of payment and for numismatic purposes.

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) is celebrating the National Currency Day on 29 November 2023. This event commemorates the 30th anniversary since the introduction of the Moldovan leu as a means of payment in the Republic of Moldova. 

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Octavian Armașu, had a meeting with the representatives of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) and the European Union (EU) Delegation to the Republic of Moldova.

The National Bank of Moldova is organizing a series of public events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the Moldovan leu. These include visits to the National Museum of History of Moldova in partnership with the institution, which will take place from 25 to 30 November 2023.
