National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.
Financial stability is achieved by strengthening the resilience of the financial system, limiting the contagion effect and reducing the accumulation of systemic risks, thus contributing to the sustainability of the financial sector and economic growth.

Astăzi, 8 octombrie 2026, prim-viceguvernatorul Băncii Naționale a Moldovei (BNM), domnul Petru Rotaru, a avut, alături de viceguvernatorul BNM, domnul Mihnea Constantinescu, o întrevedere cu reprezentanții Asociației CFA România și ai CFA Institute. Discuțiile au vizat dezvoltarea pieței financiare din Republica Moldova, educația financiară și programele de pregătire a specialiștilor în investiții, în contextul integrării europene.
Asociația CFA România a fost reprezentată de domnul Adrian Codirlașu, președintele organizației, de domnul Dorin-Alexandru Badea, membru al Consiliului de administrație, și de directoarea generală, doamna Florentina Almajanu. La întrevedere, din partea CFA Institute a participat reprezentantul pentru Europa Centrală și de Est, domnul Loukas Dedes.
Participanții au discutat despre extinderea accesului la investiții, consolidarea finanțării pe termen lung și sprijinul CFA în pregătirea specialiștilor din Republica Moldova în analiza investițiilor, analiza investițiilor, evaluarea riscurilor și administrarea portofoliilor. Au fost examinate posibilități de organizare a unor seminare de pregătire pentru programele și examenele CFA și de sprijin prin mentorat. „Respectarea standardelor etice și profesionale ale CFA Institute poate contribui la creșterea încrederii investitorilor și la îmbunătățirea activității pe piața financiară”, a subliniat domnul Petru Rotaru.
Un subiect-cheie al întrevederii a fost experiența României în dezvoltarea pieței financiare în perioada de aderare la Uniunea Europeană și post aderare. „Schimbul de bune practici poate sprijini apropierea standardelor profesionale și a practicilor investiționale din Republica Moldova de cele europene”, a adăugat prim-viceguvernatorul BNM.
În acest context, au fost prezentate și progresele în modernizarea infrastructurii de plăți, în special aderarea la SEPA și dezvoltarea sistemului MIA Plăți Instant, care a depășit un milion de utilizatori.
În această săptămână, la 6 octombrie, s-a împlinit un an de la conectarea operațională a Republicii Moldova la SEPA. În această perioadă, prin SEPA au fost efectuate aproximativ 1,2 milioane de tranzacții, care au generat economii de 16,4 milioane de euro pentru cetățeni și mediul de afaceri. Costul mediu al unui transfer s-a redus la circa un euro, demonstrând beneficiile concrete ale integrării în spațiul european de plăți.
Discuțiile au vizat și continuarea cooperării în domeniul educației financiare, începută în 2021 prin acordul de parteneriat dintre BNM și Asociația CFA România. În cadrul acestuia, proiectul „Generația I”, inițiat de asociație în România, a fost promovat și în Republica Moldova, pentru a încuraja independența financiară și gestionarea responsabilă a finanțelor personale.
Pornind de la această experiență, participanții au examinat noi oportunități de cooperare pentru a ajuta cetățenii să înțeleagă principiile investițiilor, relația dintre risc și randament și importanța diversificării. Au fost discutate și posibilități de colaborare cu universitățile și de instruire a jurnaliștilor economici, pentru a oferi publicului explicații clare despre funcționarea piețelor financiare.
