The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) announces the conduct, on 29-30 October 2020,  of the second annual edition of the financial education activities initiated within the project “Learn! Give sense to money”.

The Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), Octavian Armașu, held a questions and answers session for students and teachers from technical and higher vocational education institutions with economic profile in the Republic of Moldova.

More than 300 pupils and young people are enrolled in the first financial education camp in the Republic of Moldova, which began today within the project "Give sense to money", carried out by the National Bank of Moldova in partnership with the Independent Analytical Centre "Expert-Grup".

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) launches the financial education campaign "Spend the holiday with the NBM", addressed to all age categories.

The First Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Mr. Vladimir Munteanu, participated today at the ceremony of the students’ scientific panel “The Monetarist Youth” of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, which was organized today on the occasion of the award of prizes and diplomas of excellence at the 2019 Gala of Awards for students’ scientific researches in the field of currency and credit. 

The International accounts of the Republic of Moldova comprise the balance of payments, international investment position and gross external debt, the compilation of which is one of the core functions of the National Bank of Moldova (according to the Law on the National Bank of Moldova no.548-XIII of 21 July 1995).

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) signed a partnership agreement with Moldova State University (MSU).

In the period 4 – 8 November, over 600 pupils and students participated in the financial education event “Road of money”, organized on the occasion of the World Savings Day.

During the last two months, more than 400 pupils and students from Chișinău, Bălți, Cahul and Ungheni, attended the information sessions organized by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) in partnership with “Expert-Grup” that jointly conduct the financial education project "Learn! Give Sense to Money".

On 25-31 March 2019, the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) will conduct a set of activities within the Global Money Week 2019 under the theme "Learn. Save. Earn".

The RR is a complementary instrument of the monetary policy, which is used to control the level of excess liquidity as well as to mitigate its impact on interbank interest rates.

The mission of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), visiting Chisinau on 24-26 October 2018, is intended to assess the financial education in the Republic of Moldova. 

The parties intend to cooperate in organizing studies and mutual exchange of knowledge in order to prepare and qualify specialists in the banking field.

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM), the National Commission for Financial Markets (NCFM), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, and the Centre for Excellence in Economics and Finance signed a Memorandum of Understanding for training specialists in the financial and banking field.
