Balance of payments of the Republic of Moldova in 2022 (preliminary quarterly data)

According to preliminary data in 2022, the current account of the balance of payments recorded a deficit of US$ 2 275,20 million, the capital account recorded a positive balance amounting to US$ 20,17 million, and the financial account recorded a net capital inflow of US$ 2 357,17 million.

International investment position of the Republic of Moldova as of 12/31/2022 (preliminary quarterly data)

According to preliminary data, the net international investment position recorded US$ -6 041,22 million as of 12/31/2022 (or -41,9% as a ratio to GDP), 15,8 % more as compared to the end of 2021.

Conform datelor preliminare, în anul 2022, soldul contului curent al balanței de plăți a Republicii Moldova a înregistrat un deficit de 2 275,20 mil. USD, contul de capital a consemnat intrări nete de 20,17 mil. USD, iar contul financiar s-a soldat cu intrări nete de capital în valoare de 2 357,17 mil. USD. La 31.12.2022, poziţia investiţională internaţională a constituit -6 041,22 mil. USD, iar datoria externă brută a totalizat 9 457,80 mil. USD.

Conform datelor preliminare, poziția investiţională internaţională a Republicii Moldova, a constituit  6 041,22 mil. USD (sau  41,9 la sută raportat la PIB), soldul net debitor aprofundându-se față de sfârșitul anului 2021 cu 15,8 la sută.

Datoria externă la sfârșitul anului 2022 (date provizorii)

Conform datelor preliminare, datoria externă brută a Republicii Moldova pe parcursul anului 2022, a crescut cu 8,0 la sută și la 31.12.2022 a totalizat 9 457,80 mil. USD. Raportul datoriei externe brute la PIB a constituit 65,6 la sută, cu 1,6 p.p. mai mare față de 31.12.2021.

According to preliminary data, the gross external debt of the Republic of Moldova increased by 8,0% as compared to the end of 2021 and totaled US$ 9 457,80 million as of 12/31/2022, which is 65,6% as a ratio to GDP (+1,6 p.p. as against 12/31/2021).

США, счет операций с капиталом зафиксировал чистый приток на сумму 20,17 млн. долл. США, а финансовый счет – чистый приток капитала, равный 2 357,17 млн. долл. США. Международная инвестиционная позиция на 31.12.2022 составила -6 041,22 млн. долл. США, в то время как валовой внешний долг достиг 9 457,80 млн. долл. США.
