The new coin is made of steel, plated with nickel and brass, which gives it a bimetallic look: silver and gold.
The obverse of the coin shows in the central plane the stylized image of the number "30" with the logo of the National Bank of Moldova and the inscription "ANI", above is engraved the image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Moldova, in an arc - the inscription "NATIONAL BANK OF MOLDOVA" and a decorative element.
On the reverse, in exergue, following the circumference of the coin is engraved a decorative element, in the central plane - the face value "MDL 10" and at the top - the year of issue "2021".
The coin contains the monogram of the letters "R" and "M" - acronym of the name of the state - "Republic of Moldova", in latent image.
It will circulate in parallel with the MDL 10 banknote and the metal coin with the same face value, including those with a commemorative character, from the 2018 - 2020 issuance.
The new coin completes, as a whole, the series of commemorative circulation coins, which also includes three such issues. The first currency was issued by the NBM in 2018, when it was 25 years since the introduction of the Moldovan leu, the second - in 2019, on the occasion of three decades since the adoption of laws on the state language and Latin script, and the third - in 2020, being dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Moldova.
