The 15 participants in the first edition of the "School of Modern Finance" programme will travel to rural localities in the Republic of Moldova, where they will deliver presentations on financial and banking topics for teenagers, pensioners, farmers, and other categories of people.
In this way, they will share their experience and knowledge gained in Romania, where the programme launched by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) together with the National Bank of Romania (NBR) and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies took place.
At a recent meeting with NBM Governor Octavian Armașu, participants pointed out that they had a unique experience within the "School of Modern Finance". Young people had the opportunity to combine study experiences in the capital of Romania with cultural-historical activities in representative cities such as Iasi, Brasov, Suceava and Sinaia. In Bucharest, the participants held meetings with well-known personalities from the banking and academic fields.
The programme is addressed to students and master’s students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM). Following the presentations on financial education, certificates of participation in the "School of Modern Finance" signed by the Governors of the NBM and NBR, as well as the Rectors of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, will be awarded to them.
The "School of Modern Finance" was launched in July this year and will take place twice a year. The second edition starts tomorrow and will end on 17 September 2023.
