Europe Day at the National Bank of Moldova

The National Bank of Moldova will mark Europe Day on May 11-14, making available to the public more information about the NBM's collaboration with the European Union and the progress made in this regard.

"The adoption of an effective set of rules and practices for financial services and the extension of the National Bank's cooperation with EU regulators are eloquent examples of effective implementation of the common objectives of the Association Agreement," said NBM Governor Octavian Armașu. "The Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the EU is an excellent tool for modernizing the financial services market and European economic integration, and through its implementation substantial achievements are achieved in the financial-banking field", emphasizes the central bank official. Thus, during the mentioned period, the National Bank will publish on its profiles on social networks a series of informative video, infographic and text products on general aspects related to European integration, activities carried out in this regard, implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement and the role of the NBM in that process.

The information will also aim to strengthen banking legislation related to ensuring financial stability, improving banking supervision, payment systems and that of preventing and combating money laundering, etc.

As part of Europe Day, the National Bank will continue its information campaign "Financial education - a personal, social and economic benefit" by disseminating multimedia products in support of the general financial knowledge of the public.
