National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.
National Bank shall have the exclusive right to issue on the territory of the Republic of Moldova banknotes and coins as legal tender, as well as commemorative and jubilee banknotes and coins as legal tender and for numismatic purposes.

Исполнительный комитет Национального банка Молдовы (НБМ) в рамках заседания от 7 мая 2019 единогласно принял решение сохранить базисную ставку, применяемую по основным краткосрочным операциям денежной политики на текущем уровне, в размере 6.5% годовых.
Одновременно, сохраняются процентные ставки по кредитам овернайт на текущем уровне в размере 9.5% годовых и по депозитам овернайт на текущем уровне в размере 3.5% годовых. Также сохраняется норма обязательных резервов по привлеченным средствам в молдавских леях и в неконвертируемой валюте на текущем уровне 42.5% от расчетной базы и норма обязательных резервов от привлеченных средств в неконвертируемой валюте на текущем уровне 14.0% от расчетной базы.
Решение было принято на основе внутренней и внешней макроэкономической ситуации, тенденций развития денежного и финансового рынка, процессов кредитной и депозитной деятельности, а также предположений для нового раунда прогноза.
Решение направлено на создание денежно-кредитных условий, способных поддерживать инфляцию в пределах варьирования ± 1,5 п. п. от целевого показателя инфляции 5,0 процента в среднесрочной перспективе.
На этом же заседании был утвержден Обзор инфляции № 2, 2019, который будет опубликован 16 мая 2019.
В марте текущего года инфляция развивалась согласно ожиданиям и зарегистрировала годовой темп 2.8%, а экономический рост составил 3,9% в IV квартале прошлого года, или на 0,5 п. п. выше по сравнению с предыдущим периодом. Также в течение первых трех месяцев текущего года лицензированные банки предоставили новые кредиты на 32,4% больше, чем в I квартале. Средневзвешенная процентная ставка по кредитам, предоставленным лицензированными банками в национальной валюте, снизилась на 1,25 п. п. по сравнению с I кварталом 2018.
Следующее заседание по денежной политике состоится 19 июня 2019 согласно опубликованному графику.
