National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.
National Bank shall have the exclusive right to issue on the territory of the Republic of Moldova banknotes and coins as legal tender, as well as commemorative and jubilee banknotes and coins as legal tender and for numismatic purposes.

Исполнительный комитет Национального банка Молдовы (НБМ) единогласно принял решение сохранить базисную ставку, применяемую по основным краткосрочным операциям денежной политики на текущем уровне, в размере 7,5% годовых. Согласно решению, без изменений останется и величина других инструментов денежной политики. Так, процентные ставки по кредитам овернайт будут по-прежнему составлять 10,5% годовых, а по депозитам овернайт - 4,5% годовых.
Решение было принято после оценки самых последних макроэкономических данных.
В августе 2019 года годовой уровень инфляции развивался в соответствии с прогнозом и составил 5,5%, четвертый месяц подряд сохраняясь в интервале изменения целевого показателя.
Таким образом, прогноз НБМ по инфляции остается в силе, и инфляционное давление сохранится до конца текущего года. Ожидается, что в 2020 году инфляция замедлится в результате более низких мировых цен на продовольственные товары и нефть, и более высокого внешнего и внутреннего спроса по сравнению с предыдущими прогнозами.
На указанном совещании было также принято решение о том, что нормы обязательных резервов будут поддерживаться на текущем уровне - 42,5% и, соответственно, 17,0% от расчетной базы.
НБМ будет продолжать отслеживать и прогнозировать макроэкономические изменения в Республике Молдова и за ее пределами, риски и неопределенности, связанные с краткосрочными и среднесрочными темпами инфляции.
Следующее заседание по монетарной политике состоится 30 октября 2019 года.
