National Bank and the members of its decision-making bodies shall be independent in exercising the tasks conferred upon them by law, and shall neither seek nor take instructions from public authorities or from any other authority.
In order to ensure and maintain price stability over the medium term, the National Bank’s aim will be to keep inflation (measured by Consumer Price Index) at the level of 5.0 percent annually with a possible deviation of ± 1.5 percentage points, considered to be optimal for growth and development of Moldova's economy over the medium-term.

Исполнительный комитет Национального банка Молдовы (НБМ) единогласно на сегодняшнем внеочередном заседании принял решение об изменении п.3 Решения от 20 марта 2020 года об уровне процентных ставок НБМ и норме обязательных резервов. Таким образом, норма обязательных резервов в молдавских леях и в неконвертируемой валюте на период их применения 16 апреля - 15 мая 2020 года установлена в размере 34,0% от расчетной базы.
Созыв внеочередного заседания Исполнительного комитета НБМ обусловлен необходимостью применения некоторых мер денежной политики, способных частично смягчить воздействие пандемии COVID-19 на национальную экономику.
Решение направлено на увеличение ликвидности, доступной для лицензированных банков, чтобы предотвратить риск ликвидности и укрепить стабильность банковского сектора в Молдове. После этого решения ликвидность в банковском секторе увеличится примерно на 3,0 миллиарда леев.
В то же время снижение нормы обязательных резервов является продолжением мер денежной политики по сбалансированию норм обязательных резервов в контексте повышения эффективности передачи денежных импульсов в реальном секторе.
Национальный банк продолжит следить за ситуацией и, при необходимости, примет меры по поддержанию достаточного уровня ликвидности в банковском секторе.
