NBM and the Ministry of Finance organize a summit bringing together influential officials from the IMF and World Bank Constituencies

This week Chisinau becomes an international financial center. Around 100 representatives of central banks and finance ministries from the member countries of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) Constituency, led by Belgium and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will meet on 10 - 12 July 2024 in Chisinau.

Participants will discuss topics related to global economic developments, regional challenges, and key takeaways from the experiences and policies of the IMF and the World Bank.

The event will be attended by high-level officials from the two international organizations: Kenji Okamura, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF; Paul Hilbers, IMF Executive Director for Moldova; Eugene Rhuggenaath, WB Executive Director for Moldova; Antonella Bassani, Vice President for Europe and Central Asia of the World Bank Group; and other officials. This meeting is a great and timely opportunity to discuss the major challenges facing the global economy and to identify opportunities to build a sustainable economy for all."
