Analysis of the volume of cash operations in domestic currency for January-July 2025



In January-July 2025, the volume of cumulative cash releases from bank vaults exceeded the volume of cumulative cash receipts in the banking system1 by MDL 3,426.0 million.

The volume of cumulative cash receipts in January-July 2025 increased by MDL 5,229.7 million (+5.3%) compared to the similar period of the previous year and amounted to MDL 103,130.8 million.

Cash receipts from the sale of consumer goods (regardless of the sales channel) increased by MDL 2,548.6 million (+4.5%), up to the total amount of MDL 59,569.2 million, which represents 57.8 percent of the total volume of receipts (Chart 1).

Moreover, the growth in cumulative cash receipts was also determined by an MDL 1,615.0 million (+18.2%) increase in cash receipts on individuals’ current and deposit accounts.

At the same time, the receipts in the form of temporary financial assistance, as well as payments in the statutory fund decreased by MDL 168.3 million (-12.2%), while the receipts from companies providing other services decreased by MDL 141.5 million (-1.7%).

The volume of cumulative cash releases from bank vaults in January-July 2025 increased by MDL 5,888.8 million (+5.8%) compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to MDL 106,556.8 million.
